Mihaela Rogova is a London-based photographer specialising in fashion, beauty, portraiture and commercial photography. Her visual approach combines the precision of professional studio photography with the sensitivity and experimentation of an artist working across both digital and analogue processes.

Originally from Moldova and now based in London, Mihaela brings an international perspective to her work, drawing inspiration from fashion, cinema, fine art and the human character. Her photography is created not simply to show a subject, but to build an atmosphere, communicate an idea and leave a lasting impression.

Her work has been published internationally in PhotoVogue, Malvie, Moevir and London Runway, alongside appearances in international photography publications and exhibitions across the UK. Her work has also been presented in connection with Photo London 2026 and exhibited in galleries, reflecting an ongoing practice that moves between commercial photography and contemporary visual art.

Mihaela's achievements include ranking in the Top 9% of Studio Portrait photographers (2021) and the Top 11% in Emotional Portrait in the prestigious 35AWARDS competitions. These results placed her within the Top 12% of photographers worldwide, among work submitted by thousands of photographers from more than 140 countries.

With a background in fashion, photography and visual storytelling, Mihaela works confidently across studio and location environments. She has extensive experience with professional lighting, including Elinchrom systems and continuous lighting, as well as fashion and beauty direction, portraiture and creative editorial production. Her practice also extends into analogue photography, with experience shooting on Pentax and Hasselblad, developing film and creating traditional darkroom prints by hand.

This combination of technical knowledge and artistic experience allows her to approach each project from both sides: understanding how to create a technically strong image while knowing how to make it feel distinctive.

Her work is defined by bold and considered use of light, expressive composition, refined colour and timeless visual storytelling. Whether working with a fashion designer, beauty brand, creative team, model or individual client, she approaches every project collaboratively, developing imagery that feels intentional rather than formulaic.

Alongside commissioned work, Mihaela continues to develop her personal artistic practice through experimental photography, cyanotype, handmade photographic books and alternative photographic processes. These projects allow her to explore texture, light, nature and materiality beyond the traditional photographic image.
